This steel, pratt through truss bridge guides rural traffic on FR318 over the Verde River. Its original location was on the San Carlos Indian Reservation crossing the now non-existant Gila River. It was built in 1913, moved to its current locationin 1936 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery was established in 1995 in Florence, AZ located 65 miles southeast of Phoenix. The Greek mediterranean architecture of this chapel was an interesting contrast to the Sonoran Desert landscape.
